KT Wins 'Future of Work' Category at IDC Future Enterprise Awards
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Hye-sun] KT announced on the 26th that it has been selected as the winner in the 'Future of Work' category at the '2022 IDC Future Enterprise Awards' by IDC, a global information technology (IT) market analysis firm, in recognition of the achievements of its work innovation project, 'Work Innovation.'
KT has been carrying out the Work Innovation project since 2020. By automating simple repetitive tasks and providing mobile support, it has improved productivity and reduced costs for approximately 22,000 employees nationwide. An internal assessment of last year's project results showed that employees' working hours were reduced by more than 90,000 hours annually, boosting productivity, and approximately 10.3 billion KRW in costs were saved.
The representative work innovation services, 'Jeon Daeri' and 'Mabiseo,' combine robotic process automation (RPA) and chatbots to support voucher processing and service for attendance and welfare. The automation tool for survey and aggregation tasks, 'Josawon,' conducted about 1,000 status and survey investigations annually, while the non-face-to-face work tool 'Saini' implemented a service enabling electronic signatures remotely.
KT's Work Innovation project is evaluated as having successfully achieved a digital transformation (DX) of work methods, creating an environment where employees can work efficiently and conveniently. Since last year, KT has established the 'Group DX One Team TF' to disseminate DX experience to KT group companies, utilizing methodologies such as development tools, coaching, and workshops that can be applied from education to DX work innovation.
