KakaoBank's 'Partner Savings' Approaches 2.5 Million Accounts
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] KakaoBank announced on the 25th that the cumulative number of partner installment savings accounts is approaching 2.5 million.
The '26-Week Installment Savings with KakaoTalk,' launched by KakaoBank on the 14th, had 230,000 accounts opened as of the 23rd.
Starting with 'Emart' in August 2020, KakaoBank partnered with 'Market Kurly,' 'Happy Point,' 'Kakao Page,' and 'Today's House' for partner installment savings. Before the partnership with KakaoTalk, the cumulative number of accounts for the five partner installment savings was about 2.25 million.
KakaoBank stated that by reinterpreting installment savings, which were previously recognized only as deposit products, and adding various benefits and interest rates, it has established itself as a representative platform product combining banking and commerce.
