According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Prime Minister Han will meet Vice President Harris on the morning of the 27th during his visit to Japan to attend the state funeral of former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. Vice President Harris is also visiting Japan as the U.S. government representative to attend the state funeral of former Prime Minister Abe.
Vice President Harris will visit Japan starting on the 25th and is also scheduled to visit South Korea on the 29th, but she will meet Prime Minister Han in Japan, not during her visit to South Korea.
This is reportedly due to scheduling adjustments. Vice President Harris is said to stay in South Korea for only one day on the 29th, spending a relatively short time in the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Prime Minister Han and Vice President Harris plan to discuss Korea-U.S. relations, the Korean Peninsula, regional and global issues during their talks.
