View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] On the 23rd, the Jeonnam Provincial Council announced that it held a 'Local Council Personnel System Understanding Workshop' in Naju for about 50 personnel managers from the provincial and city/county councils.
This workshop was organized to support the enhancement of job competencies for personnel officers following the enforcement of the revised Local Autonomy Act, which grants the appointment authority of administrative staff belonging to local councils to the chairperson of the local council, effective January 13.
Kim Jeong-min, an administrative officer from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Local Personnel System, who was invited as a lecturer, gave case-centered lectures on the independence of personnel authority and personnel practices.
In particular, the Q&A session related to personnel matters such as appointment, training, service, and discipline of public officials belonging to local councils received high responses from the attending staff.
