Actor Lee Seon-bin Wins Lawsuit Against Former Agency... "Agency Breached Contract"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The entertainment agency 'Wellmade Star ENT' filed a civil lawsuit against actress Lee Seon-bin but lost in both the first and second trials.
According to the legal community on the 23rd, the Seoul High Court Civil Division 17-2 (Presiding Judges Choi Hyun-jong, Bang Woong-hwan, Jeong Yoon-hyung) ruled against Wellmade Star ENT's claim for contract payment against Lee, maintaining the first trial's decision in favor of the defendant.
In June 2020, Wellmade Star ENT filed a lawsuit claiming 500 million KRW, stating that "Lee Seon-bin unilaterally notified contract termination and continued entertainment activities independently." On the other hand, Lee's side countered, saying, "Through the manager, we pointed out issues such as the company's opaque settlement and accounting processes and engagements without prior explanation, demanding correction, but the company obstructed activities by demoting the manager's position."

Previously, the first trial ruled in favor of Lee. The court acknowledged that Wellmade Star ENT provided only approximate amounts in monthly settlement statements without detailed supporting documents such as tax invoices and did not respond to objections. The court held that "the exclusive contract in this case was lawfully terminated due to breach of duty by failing to properly provide settlement supporting documents," and therefore Lee's independent activities were not problematic.
