View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] The Hanhyo Apartment in Gocheok-dong, Guro-gu, Seoul, which is entering its 37th year since completion, will be redeveloped into 440 households.
On the 21st, Seoul City held the 10th Urban Planning Committee meeting and announced on the 22nd that it had amended and approved the redevelopment maintenance plan establishment and maintenance district designation plan for Hanhyo Apartment.
This maintenance plan was established through a public maintenance plan in Guro-gu and was planned to include Samdu Villa along with Hanhyo Apartment. According to the maintenance plan, 309 households will be reborn as up to 24 floors, totaling 440 households. Public housing will supply 33 units with exclusive areas of 59㎡ and 84㎡. The maintenance plan also included the road between Hanhyo Apartment and Samdu Villa in the lot. In addition, by widening the 12m road of Jungang-ro 5-gil to 15m, the plan aims to facilitate smooth traffic around the project site in the future.

A Seoul city official said, "The development of Gocheok I-Park, the relocation site of the Southern Correctional Facility near Hanhyo Apartment, is scheduled to be completed this year," adding, "Once the redevelopment of this complex is completed, the residential environment in the area will be greatly improved."
