Sojinkong Holds Joint Labor-Management Integrity Practice and Conflict of Interest Eradication Resolution Meeting
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] The Small Enterprise and Market Service (SEMAS) announced on the 20th that it held the ‘2022 Joint Labor-Management Integrity Practice and Conflict of Interest Eradication Resolution Meeting’ yesterday at the Daejeon headquarters to advance as a leading institution in anti-corruption and integrity.
The resolution meeting was co-hosted by SEMAS Chairman Park Seonghyo and Labor Union Chairman Park Youngho. It was organized to have all executives and employees directly participate in fostering and spreading a culture of integrity and to actively communicate SEMAS’s commitment to promoting anti-corruption and integrity policies both internally and externally. Afterwards, all executives and employees signed a pledge containing the prohibition of improper solicitation and the Public Officials Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, which will be kept in their individual workspaces to strengthen their commitment to integrity.
Park Seonghyo, Chairman of SEMAS, said, “SEMAS has been striving to spread a culture of anti-corruption and integrity through various programs such as operating a joint anti-corruption week with six public institutions in the Daejeon area, joint relay campaigns, internal and external promotion of the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, regular internal integrity surveys, and customized employee training.” He added, “We will continue to enhance awareness among executives and employees and establish an organizational culture to fully fulfill our role as a leading institution in anti-corruption and integrity.”
On the same day, SEMAS also held the ‘2022 Integrity and Communication Meeting,’ focusing on intergenerational communication. It was arranged to improve the understanding of organizational culture and integrity among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) and to coordinate opinions between generations. During the meeting, the results and implications of the ‘Intergenerational Survey for Building Consensus on Ethics and Integrity’ conducted in May were shared, and a professional instructor was invited to provide employee training on resolving intergenerational conflicts and communication.
