View original image[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Son Seon-hee] The Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Korea Development Institute (KDI), a government-funded research institute, held a joint policy meeting on the 19th under the theme of 'Diagnosis and Evaluation of the Korean Economy.'
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the meeting, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho, focused on the optimal policy mix to overcome the complex crisis, the employment situation, and future policy directions.
Deputy Prime Minister Choo said, "I appreciate KDI's efforts in proposing ways to overcome crises and presenting blueprints after each economic challenge our economy has faced." He added, "To overcome the recent complex crisis, I ask KDI to work as one team with the government to discover creative and practical policy alternatives." He further stated, "To improve policy quality, we plan to hold additional Ministry of Economy and Finance-KDI policy meetings for frequent exchange and cooperation, and to work closely with other government-funded research institutes."
