[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Dongshin University announced on the 18th that it held a rural labor support event on the 17th in Seji-myeon, Naju-si, Jeollanam-do, to help farms damaged by the typhoon.
A total of 33 people, including 11 Dongshin University faculty and staff and 22 students, helped tie and stand up rice plants that had been knocked down by the typhoon.
This rural labor support event was conducted as part of the 'Social Contribution Cooperation Agreement' signed in August between Dongshin University, the Student Council, and Naju City to promote community coexistence activities such as resolving labor shortages in rural areas.
Through the agreement, Dongshin University promised to establish an administrative support system for participation in social contribution activities such as rural volunteer work.
Faculty, staff, and students of Dongshin University plan to continue supporting rural labor during harvest seasons to assist farms struggling with labor shortages during busy farming periods.
