Dunamu Donates 1.5 Billion KRW to Korea University Graduate School of Information Security to "Strengthen Blockchain Ecosystem"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] Dunamu, the operator of the domestic cryptocurrency exchange Upbit, announced on the 16th that it will donate 1.5 billion KRW to support blockchain and digital asset policy research and academic activities at Korea University's Graduate School of Information Security.
Dunamu and Korea University held a donation agreement ceremony on the previous day regarding this matter. Dunamu has pledged to donate a total of 1.5 billion KRW over five years, contributing 300 million KRW annually starting this year to Korea University's Graduate School of Information Security. The fund will be used to support research and academic activities related to digital asset policy.
Lee Seok-woo, CEO of Dunamu, said, "We are pleased to open a new chapter of industry-academia cooperation for blockchain and digital asset policy research," adding, "Based on our partnership with Korea University, we expect to strengthen the domestic blockchain ecosystem, improve the digital asset investment environment, and contribute to the advancement of the capital market."
