LVMH to Turn Off Lights at French Stores at Night Starting Next Month
Plan to Raise Manufacturing Site Temperature by 1°C in Summer and Lower by 1°C in Winter
[Asia Economy Reporter Kum Boryeong] French fashion group Louis Vuitton Mo?t Hennessy (LVMH) announced that starting next month in France, it will turn off lights at night when stores are not operating.
According to major foreign media on the 15th (local time), LVMH stated that it will turn off lights in France from 10 PM, when stores close, until 7 AM the next day.
There has been criticism in France that many stores keep their lights on at night even when they are not open, wasting energy.
LVMH also plans to raise the temperature at manufacturing sites by 1 degree Celsius in summer and lower it by 1 degree in winter.
LVMH explained that these two measures could reduce energy usage by about 10%.
