Gwangju University and National Youth Space Center Join Hands to Train 'Youth Leaders'
Cooperation for Educational Volunteering and Pre-Youth Leader Practicum
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) and the National Youth Space Center have joined hands to train youth leaders.
On the 15th, Gwangju University announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the National Youth Space Center for cooperation in educational volunteering and practical training for prospective youth leaders.
The signing ceremony held in the conference room of the National Youth Space Center was attended by Kim Dongjin, President of Gwangju University; Park Hyungho, Director of the National Youth Space Center; Lim Hyungtaek, Director of Hosim Library at Gwangju University; and Jeong Jongseop, Head of the Space Activities Department at the National Youth Space Center, along with other officials from both institutions.
Through this agreement, the two educational institutions plan to join forces to promote mutual growth and establish a sustainable cooperative system for youth space science experiential education.
The MOU includes ▲ joint implementation of the University Innovation Support Project ▲ practical training for prospective youth leaders, prospective youth counselors, and prospective lifelong educators ▲ guidance for educational volunteer activities targeting youth using the Space Center ▲ joint research for the development of curricula and educational methods ▲ exchange of various education-related information and utilization of facilities.
President Kim Dongjin said, “Through this agreement, we plan to provide practical support to students preparing to become youth leaders,” and added, “We will seek ways to achieve mutual development through communication with the National Youth Space Center.”
