According to Yeongam-gun on the 14th, Heo Seon-haeng, a jangsa of the Yeongam-gun Folk Ssireum Team, defeated No Beom-su of Ulju-gun Office 2-1, and Jang Hyeon-jin of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province Office won 3-1, claiming the Taebaek Jangsa title for the third time in 1 year and 7 months.
Also, Choi Seong-hwan defeated his teammate Oh Chang-rok 3-2 to become the Hallasan Jangsa for the 10th time in his career, and Jang Seong-woo overturned the favorite Choi Seong-min of Taean-gun Office 3-1 to win the Baekdu Jangsa title for the 9th time in 9 months.
In this tournament, the Yeongam-gun Folk Ssireum Team swept all three weight classes, achieving a total of 54 wins (46 Jangsa titles, 2 National Sports Festival gold medals, and 6 team championships), proving their dominance in the ssireum arena.
