K Bank Raises Parking Account Interest Rate to 2.3% Per Year... Industry's Highest Level
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] K Bank raised the annual interest rate of its parking account (demand deposit account) 'Plus Box' by 0.2 percentage points on the 14th. K Bank explained that this is the highest level in the industry.
An interest rate of 2.3% per annum is applied even if deposited for just one day, and the accumulated interest can be received on the fourth Saturday of every month.
The maximum limit is 300 million KRW. If the limit of 300 million KRW is deposited for one month (based on 30 days), approximately 480,000 KRW in interest can be earned per month.
K Bank also applies an interest rate of 2.3% per annum to the 'Gibun Account' launched in June targeting the MZ generation.

A K Bank official said, "With this increase, we are offering the highest interest rates and limits among banks for parking accounts," adding, "We will continue to strive to provide differentiated benefits to our customers."
