[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Kim Deok-hwan, the youngest CEO in the card industry, has resigned as CEO of Hyundai Card.
According to the financial sector on the 14th, Hyundai Card announced that Kim resigned as of the 9th. Kim stepped down about a year and a half after being appointed CEO by the board of directors in April last year.
Born in 1972, Kim was the youngest CEO in the card industry and attracted public attention due to his young age and being an external hire from Hyundai Motor Group. Hyundai Card explained Kim's resignation as "due to personal reasons."

Meanwhile, a successor to Kim has not been decided. Hyundai Card plans to appoint a new inside director at a shareholders' meeting to be convened later.
