Seoul Semiconductor Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against US Lighting Company Phight
Fight Accused of Infringing 12 Seoul Semiconductor Patents in Lighting Sales
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] Seoul Semiconductor, a 광반도체 company, announced on the 13th that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against the US lighting company Fight in the United States Central District Court of California. The lawsuit demands a ban on the sales of Fight products that infringe on Seoul Semiconductor's patents.
Seoul Semiconductor claims that Fight infringed on 12 of its patents by manufacturing and selling lighting products and has requested a sales ban on those products. Despite having obtained a sales ban ruling in a patent lawsuit against Fight's distributors, the infringement was not corrected, prompting Seoul Semiconductor to directly sue the manufacturer, Fight.
Seoul Semiconductor previously filed patent lawsuits against the distributor Ace Hardware in 2021 and 2022 to block the distribution of Fight products across the United States. In 2019 and 2020, Seoul Semiconductor also filed lawsuits in the Eastern District Court of Texas and the Central District Court of California requesting a sales ban on Fight products from related distributors and won those cases.
