Ministry of Justice Disciplines 3 Prosecutors for 'Drunk Driving and Negligence of Duty'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The Ministry of Justice disciplined two prosecutors who drove under the influence while intoxicated and one prosecutor who delayed handling work.
According to the legal community on the 13th, the Ministry of Justice suspended Prosecutor A of the Incheon District Prosecutors' Office for one month.
Prosecutor A was caught driving about 20 km while heavily intoxicated around 1 a.m. on January 23. At that time, Prosecutor A's blood alcohol concentration was 0.107%, which far exceeded the license cancellation level of 0.08%.
Prosecutor B of the Busan High Prosecutors' Office also received a reprimand for drunk driving. Prosecutor B drove about 11 km while intoxicated around 8:30 a.m. on December 3 last year. His blood alcohol concentration was 0.044%, which is the level for license suspension.
