Com2uS 'Summoners War: Chronicle' Surpasses 10 Billion KRW in Cumulative Revenue
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Com2uS announced on the 13th that its massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'Summoners War: Chronicle' surpassed 10 billion KRW in cumulative sales within 27 days of its domestic release.
This achievement is five times the performance of the original global hit Summoners War during the same period after its Korean launch. Released on various platforms to accommodate different user environments, sales from the relatively profitable One Store and PC versions accounted for 37% of the total. The game also maintained a top-tier position for a month, ranking 10th on Naver's mobile game sales chart sourced from Mobile Index, which integrates results from multiple markets.
Chronicle combines the strategic fun of Summoners War?where players build their own decks by combining diverse summoned creatures based on attributes and skills?and adds rich content suited to the MMORPG genre. In particular, it has been praised for incorporating the global success elements of Summoners War, where gameplay emphasizes nurturing summoned creatures and employing various strategic uses depending on the situation and opponent, rather than domination by a few high-tier summons.

Expectations are rising for the overseas release scheduled for November. A Com2uS official stated, "Since Summoners War has established itself as a representative Korean mobile game by earning 90% of its total revenue overseas with balanced popularity in both the East and West, we expect Chronicle to achieve comparable global success.
