'Voltron' Robot as NFT... Ground X Collaborates with Lambda256 and Universal on NFT Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] Ground X, Kakao's blockchain technology affiliate, announced on the 13th that it will collaborate with Lambda256 and NBCUniversal on an intellectual property (IP)-based digital collectibles business.
Lambda256, a blockchain subsidiary of Dunamu, recently secured a licensing agreement for the Universal IP 'Voltron.' Voltron is a representative robot animation series that has been loved for over 40 years since its first broadcast in 1984.
As part of the initial collaboration, Voltron digital collectibles will be sold starting today on Ground X's digital art and non-fungible token (NFT) distribution service, 'Klip Drops.' A total of six types, including the robot figure formed by the combination of Voltron's five lions, will be presented as 3D digital art.
An event for customers who purchase Voltron collectibles will also be held. Users who collect all six types will be entered into a drawing to win Voltron figures worth approximately 2.5 million KRW.
