Emergency Arrest of District Office Official Who Fled After Attempting Sexual Harassment Over the Fence
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] A district office official who attempted sexual assault after breaking into a residence was caught by the police.
According to the police on the 12th, the Seodaemun Police Station in Seoul urgently arrested Mr. A on the 10th afternoon at a multi-family house in the city on charges including violation of the Sexual Violence Punishment Act.
It was investigated that Mr. A secretly entered the victim's home in the multi-family house around 4 a.m. that day and attempted sexual assault, but fled when the victim screamed.
The police, who responded to the report, analyzed nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage to confirm Mr. A's movements and secured him at his residence.

Mr. A was identified as a district office official in Seoul. It is known that Mr. A was intoxicated at the time of the crime. The police have applied for an arrest warrant for Mr. A. The pre-arrest interrogation of Mr. A will be held at 3 p.m. that day at the Seoul Western District Court.
