"XR Device Market Begins Full-Scale Growth... Attention on Related Stocks"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Apple is expected to launch an extended reality (XR) device in the first quarter of next year. Meta Platforms is also set to release the 'Meta Quest Pro' next month, indicating rapid growth in the XR market.
Lee Gyuha, a researcher at NH Investment & Securities, explained, "As global IT companies enter the XR market, the related industry is expected to grow rapidly. Recently, Apple filed trademarks for 'Reality One' and 'Reality Pro.'"
He added, "These trademarks are known to be the names of new XR devices, and the production schedule is imminent, making a launch in the first quarter of next year highly likely."
Lee emphasized, "The initial production plan is at the level of several hundred thousand units, but if actual demand is stronger than expected, the volume could increase."
He highlighted, "While the symbolism of Apple launching a new device is significant, the core of Apple Reality is that the hardware level is several steps higher than existing XR devices."
Furthermore, he noted, "Reducing the performance optimization burden on developers will make dedicated content development easier. Regarding XR, companies like LG Innotek and Newflex could directly benefit."
