According to the Korea Expressway Corporation, as of 4 p.m. on this day, the Seoul-bound lanes of the Gyeongbu Expressway are experiencing slow traffic over a total distance of 105 km, including 6 km from Yangsan Junction to near Yangsan, 7 km from near Yeongdong to near Yeongdong 1 Tunnel, 27 km from Sintanjin to Oksan, 44 km from near Cheongju Rest Area to near Anseong Junction, and 11 km from Geumto Junction to Banpo.
The Busan-bound lanes are also slow over a total of 77 km, including 9 km from Jukjeon to Suwon, 13 km from near Oksan Junction to near Oksan, 15 km from near Cheongju to near Jukam Rest Area, 7 km from near Bukdaegu to Dodong Junction, and 10 km from Seoul-san to near Tongdosa Rest Area.
The Seoul-bound lanes of the Seohaean Expressway are experiencing stop-and-go traffic over a total of 66 km, including 11 km from Goindol Rest Area to near Julpo, 8 km from near Seocheon to near Seocheon Rest Area, 20 km from near Dangjin Junction to Seohae Bridge, 10 km from Seopyeongtaek Junction to Hwaseong Rest Area, 6 km from Bibong to Yongdam Tunnel, and 5 km from Iljik Junction to Geumcheon.
The Mokpo-bound lanes of the Seohaean Expressway are congested over 28 km, including 7 km from Seo Seoul Tollgate to near Yongdam Tunnel, 2 km from near Paltan Junction to near Hwaseong Rest Area, 13 km from near Seopyeongtaek Junction to Seohae Bridge, and 6 km from near Julpo to Seonunsan.
The Jungbu Expressway is congested over 41 km, including 10 km from near Ochang to near Jincheon Tunnel in the Hanam direction, 14 km from near Iljuk to Moga, and 7 km from near Gyeonggi Gwangju Junction to near Jungbu 3 Tunnel.
The Yeongdong Expressway is congested over 25 km toward Gangneung, including 9 km from Ansan Junction to Bugok and 9 km from Maseong to near Yangji Tunnel, and over 23 km toward Incheon, including 15 km from Deokpyeong Rest Area to Yongin Rest Area and 3 km from near Dongsuwon to near Gwanggyo Tunnel.
The Expressway Corporation expects the outbound traffic congestion to ease around 8 to 9 p.m. on this day, and the return traffic congestion to ease around 2 to 3 a.m. on the 11th.
As of 4 p.m. on this day, the estimated travel times by passenger car from Seoul Tollgate to major cities nationwide are 5 hours 40 minutes to Busan, 5 hours 20 minutes to Ulsan, 4 hours 40 minutes to Daegu, 4 hours 40 minutes to Gwangju, 3 hours 40 minutes to Gangneung, and 4 hours 10 minutes to Daejeon.
