Fire Breaks Out in Seoul Residential Area Early on Chuseok Day... 3 People Transported to Hospital
[Asia Economy Reporter Myunghwan Lee] On the morning of Chuseok day, the 10th, fires broke out one after another in residential areas of Seoul, resulting in three people being transported to the hospital.
According to Geumcheon Fire Station, at around 12:43 a.m. that day, a fire broke out on the 5th floor of a five-story villa in Siheung-dong, Geumcheon-gu, and was extinguished within 30 minutes. Due to the fire, a woman in her 70s who was at home and two neighboring residents inhaled smoke and were transported to the hospital. They are reported to be in stable condition without life-threatening injuries.
Then, at around 3:13 a.m. on the same day, a fire broke out in a sixth-floor apartment of a 20-story building in Oryu-dong, Guro-gu, and was extinguished within 30 minutes. The resident was out at the time of the fire, so there were no casualties, but property damage amounting to approximately 5.5 million won occurred.

Guro Fire Station is investigating the exact cause, reporting that the fire was caused by an electrical issue in an air purifier inside the house.
