Check Which Department Stores and Large Marts Are Open on Chuseok Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Most department stores will be closed on Chuseok day, the 10th. Large supermarkets, except for some stores, plan to remain open on the day.
According to the distribution industry on the 10th, Lotte Department Store will close all its stores on Chuseok day. Bundang Branch, Masan Branch, and Centum City Branch will close on the 11th. Lotte Outlet will also be closed on Chuseok day. Lotte Mall's Lotte World Mall, Gimpo Airport Branch, Suwon Branch, Suji Branch, and Eunpyeong Branch will remain open during Chuseok.
Hyundai Department Store will close each store for two days during the holiday period. The nine stores including The Hyundai Seoul, Trade Center Branch, Cheonho Branch, Mokdong Branch, Jungdong Branch, Kintex Branch, Pangyo Branch, Daegu Branch, Ulsan Branch, and Chungcheong Branch will be closed on the 9th and 10th, while the seven stores including Apgujeong Main Branch, Sinchon Branch, Mia Branch, D-Cube City, Busan Branch, and Ulsan Dong-gu Branch will be closed on the 10th and 11th. Hyundai Outlet's eight stores will be closed only on Chuseok day and will resume normal operations afterward.
Shinsegae Department Store's Gangnam Branch, Gyeonggi Branch, Gwangju Shinsegae, Gimhae Branch, Daegu Shinsegae, Daejeon Shinsegae Art & Science, Masan Branch, Centum City, Uijeongbu Branch, Cheonan Asan Branch, and Times Square Branch will be closed for two days on the 9th and 10th. The main branch will be closed on the 10th and 11th, and Starfield Hanam Branch will be closed only on Chuseok day. Each store plans to extend business hours until 8:30 PM on normal business days during the holiday period.

Regarding large supermarkets, Emart will close 43 stores nationwide on Chuseok day, including Isu Branch, Gyeonggi Gwangju Branch, Boryeong Branch, Gyeongsan Branch, Wonju Branch, and Shinjeju Branch. Homeplus will close 20 stores nationwide, including Wonju Branch, Kintex Branch, Gyeongsan Branch, and Wonju Branch, while Lotte Mart will close 25 stores nationwide, including Uiwang Branch, Seosan Branch, Anseong Branch, and Jeju Branch.
