Hanjin Hudatas Signs Business Agreement with One of the World's Top 3 Map Solution Companies
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Hanjin announced on the 8th that ‘HyuDatas,’ established by Hanjin to carry out the ‘Road Information DB’ project utilizing its courier and logistics infrastructure, has signed a business agreement with ‘CE. Info Systems,’ one of the world’s top three map and solution companies, and ‘Solomon M,’ a vehicle IT specialist company.
Based in India, CE. Info Systems provides digital maps, geospatial software, location-based logistics services, IoT technology, and mobility solutions. It holds a dominant market share of over 90% in the automotive sector within India’s map and solution market and is expanding its solution market worldwide under the global map and solution brand Mappls. Recently, it established a Korean office to target the Northeast and Southeast Asian markets.
As part of its new business, Hanjin, led by Vice President of Future Growth Strategy and Marketing Cho Hyun-min, jointly invested with VR·AR content solution company UOK to establish HyuDatas in January this year.
HyuDatas secures the latest spatial information on roads and facilities based on street view collection and production technology utilizing Hanjin’s nationwide courier and logistics infrastructure, including courier vehicles. It is developing the ‘Lodge Platform,’ a spatial information data distribution platform, with plans to expand not only domestically but also into overseas markets.
To this end, HyuDatas signed a business agreement with CE. Info Systems and Solomon M to collect and process vehicle and road data domestically and internationally, expanding its business to various customers who require such data.
