CJ OnStyle, Cruise and Other Premium Luxury Overseas Travel Broadcasts Gain Popularity
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] As restrictions on inbound travelers to Korea have eased, interest in overseas travel is steadily increasing. CJ OnStyle has scheduled broadcasts of high-priced travel products such as cruises and aurora tours to meet this luxury travel demand.
According to CJ OnStyle on the 8th, a VIP cruise travel package sales broadcast will be held at 6:20 PM on the 11th. This product is offered by Hyundai Tour Zone, a cruise-specialized travel agency, and allows customers to enjoy a buffet meal, onboard performances, spa massages, swimming, and duty-free shopping on a large cruise ship at sea. The payment is structured as an installment plan with monthly payments to reduce the financial burden, and there are various travel destination options including the Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean, Alaska, Russia, and Northern Europe. CJ OnStyle previously aired the same product on the 28th of last month, achieving consultation order amounts of 12.2 billion KRW.
On the 21st of last month, an aurora travel package broadcast was conducted. This product allows travelers to view the aurora while visiting Canada or Iceland. Despite being a high-priced product starting from the mid-40 million KRW range, the consultation order amount on that day reached 20 billion KRW.
The domestic premium hotel vacation (hokangseu) fever also remains strong. On the 25th of last month, CJ OnStyle sold 5-star hotel products for Grand Walkerhill Seoul and Vista Walkerhill Seoul through a mobile live broadcast. Along with special sales of Walkerhill Hotel’s suite rooms, CJ OnStyle provided an additional 10% point accumulation benefit and included admission tickets to Walkerhill Hotel’s exhibition hall, the ‘Theater of Light.’ The broadcast attracted over 60,000 viewers within an hour and recorded order amounts in the 300 million KRW range.
