The presidential office explained, "Vice President Harris's visit marks about four months since President Biden's official visit to Korea in May and is the first visit by a U.S. vice president in four and a half years since 2018," adding, "This reflects the strong will of both governments to strengthen the Korea-U.S. alliance since the launch of the Yoon Suk-yeol administration."
