The First Deputy Mayor of Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, visited the 119 Comprehensive Situation Room and Sodap 119 Safety Center to urge the prevention of safety accidents during the Chuseok holiday.

The city entered comprehensive disaster situation duty to prepare for the typhoon and, with the cooperation of all eup, myeon, dong offices and frontline fire stations, inspected disaster-vulnerable facilities, issuing pre-evacuation orders to 146 residents near 108 high-risk areas, making every effort to prevent damage.
Deputy Mayor Ahn said, “Although the typhoon was initially expected to cause significant damage, thanks to the hard work of the firefighters who were active on the front lines, we were able to respond without a single casualty.”
