Life Insurance Association Selects 1,000 Top Financial Planners as 'Golden Fellows'
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Life Insurance Association announced on the 7th that it held the 6th Golden Fellow certification ceremony at the Shilla Hotel in Seoul.
The Golden Fellow is the top-performing insurance planner selected through a comprehensive evaluation of registration period, contract retention rate, and company contribution among the Life Insurance Association's certified outstanding planners.
While 300 to 400 people have been selected annually, this year the number of selected planners was expanded to 1,000 to boost morale and pride among outstanding certified planners.
The individuals selected as Golden Fellows this year have an average tenure of 21 years at their current companies, with an average annual income reaching 169.76 million KRW.
About 300 representatives selected by each company attended the event.
Jung Hee-soo, President of the Life Insurance Association, stated, "The wisdom and know-how that Golden Fellows have accumulated through interaction with customers will remain competitive even in the rapidly changing digital financial environment," and urged, "Please continue to further convey the value of life insurance."

Baek Hye-ryun, Chairperson of the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee, said, "Due to Korea's unprecedented low birthrate and aging population, the role of private insurance will become increasingly important," and added, "The role of insurance planners who directly meet customers and raise awareness of the value of life insurance is crucial, and we ask Golden Fellows to lead as leaders in the life insurance industry."
