Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority, Recruiting Participants for 'YGPA Logistics Academy'
Free Online Education Opportunities for Port and Logistics Specialists Targeting Local Communities
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Heo Seon-sik] Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 6th that it will operate the specialized training program ‘2022 YGPA Logistics Academy’ to strengthen national shipping, port, and logistics competitiveness.
The authority is jointly running the program in collaboration with Dongmyeong University Smart Logistics Project Group. It is designed to nurture local talent by enhancing professional capabilities for local community members, including current workers in the shipping, port, and logistics sectors and job seekers.
The ‘2022 YGPA Logistics Academy’ offers educational opportunities related to ports and logistics to the local community and will be held from September 16 to December 26.
The Logistics Academy consists of five courses across beginner, advanced, and innovative practical (customs broker) levels. University professors and experts provide online video lectures covering the latest trends, issues, practical training, and certification acquisition processes.
This training program is fully funded by the government (Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries) budget support project, and the tuition is completely free.
President Park Seong-hyun said, “Through this Logistics Academy, we aim to provide professional education to collaborative workers in the Yeosu and Gwangyang port shipping and logistics sectors and local talents aspiring to become future port experts. We will do our best to realize social value and nurture talent.”
