[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Gangwon Province will conduct a 'Companion Animal Accompaniment Campaign' from the 6th to the 12th during the Chuseok holiday period to provide public etiquette guidance for pet owners and their companion animals in multi-use facilities, prevent abandonment and loss, and avoid safety accidents involving companion dogs.
According to the province on the 6th, the campaign will be carried out in cooperation with animal protection officials from 18 cities and counties and the Gangwon Veterinary Association, by posting banners and attaching posters at locations frequently visited by pet owners with companion animals, such as terminals, stations, traditional markets, and large supermarkets.
The province plans to post information about animal hospitals and entrusted management facilities operating during the Chuseok holiday on the Gangwon Provincial Government and 18 city and county government websites to prepare for emergencies.
