KT&G Sangsangmadang, Call for Entries for the '14th Great Short Film Festival'
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT&G announced on the 6th that it is accepting submissions for the 14th Daedanhan Short Film Festival, which highlights the past, present, and future of domestic short films.
Now in its 14th year, the Daedanhan Short Film Festival is a cultural contribution program run by KT&G Sangsangmadang since 2007 to discover and support outstanding domestic short films.
This year's call for entries is open from the 7th to the 21st for short films under 20 minutes newly produced after June 1, 2019. Interested participants can submit their works through the KT&G Sangsangmadang website.
Selected works after preliminary screening will be screened at the festival held at KT&G Sangsangmadang Cinema from November 15 to 20. Two outstanding works, along with awards for Best Director, Best Actor, and Audience Award, will receive a total prize of 15 million KRW and trophies following audience evaluations and expert jury reviews.

Jihyoseok, Head of KT&G Cultural Contribution Department, stated, “The Daedanhan Short Film Festival has contributed to expanding the base of domestic independent films and has become a gateway for new directors and actors. We hope this festival will be a celebration where both audiences and filmmakers can enjoy great works.”
