Ulsan City to Build Second Municipal Senior Welfare Center... Largest Among Local Senior Welfare Centers

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] The construction of the '2nd Municipal Senior Welfare Center' is expected to improve senior welfare services in the Buk-gu area.
Ulsan City will invest a total project cost of 25 billion KRW to begin construction of the '2nd Municipal Senior Welfare Center' at 1155-2, Songjeong-dong, Buk-gu in September, with completion scheduled for August 2024.
The 2nd Municipal Senior Welfare Center will be built on a site area of 4,572㎡ with a total floor area of 4,383㎡, consisting of one basement floor and four above-ground floors.
Main facilities will include ▲hobby and leisure facilities ▲lifelong education support ▲health promotion support, among various other amenities.
The expected daily number of users is 1,370, making it the largest senior welfare center in the Ulsan area.
A city official stated, “We plan to contribute to a vibrant old age and the enhancement of senior welfare by providing spaces for local seniors’ health, leisure activities, and social participation. We especially expect it to greatly help improve senior welfare in the Buk-gu area.”

Once the 2nd Municipal Senior Welfare Center is completed, a total of 15 senior welfare centers, including district and county centers, will be operated in Ulsan.
