H&B Design Invests in Drama 'Tuhon' Production... Improving Profitability Through New Business
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyungsoo] H&B Design announced on the 4th that its subsidiary Studio Anic will invest in the production of the new drama "Toohon." H&B Design entered the content business by investing in the film "Hansan: Rising Dragon."
H&B Design established Studio Anic last July after a long preparation period to enter the content business.
A representative from Studio Anic stated, "We plan to invest in and produce the new drama Toohon as well as the fantasy blockbuster drama 'Singirok.' Both projects are in the final stages of discussions regarding casting, investment attraction, and online video service (OTT) scheduling."
Toohon is a new work by writer Moon Choong-il, who wrote the screenplay for the film "Extreme Job." The drama Singirok is based on the popular webtoon "Singirok" from Lezhin Comics. Director Kim Sung-soo of the OCN drama "Save Me" and writer Kim Ha-neul of the film "Christmas Carol" are participating.
A company representative said, "We will discover new businesses with high growth potential and increase corporate value. We expect to turn operating profit positive this year by maximizing profitability, improving management efficiency, and implementing restructuring."
H&B Design is expanding profitability through various businesses such as sales agency and real estate advertising agency. In the third quarter of this year, it signed a single sales supply contract worth 50 billion KRW related to real estate.
