The Only Domestic Distributor Selected
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Lotte Shopping announced on the 5th that its first-ever published Sustainability Management Report received a Gold Award at the 'LACP 2021 Vision Awards' hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).
LACP is a global communication professional organization established by communication experts in the United States. The Vision Awards is a competition that evaluates communication outputs such as annual reports, sustainability management reports, and CSR reports published by government agencies, companies, and organizations worldwide. This year's competition saw participation from over 1,000 companies and organizations globally.
In the Vision Awards Retail sector Sustainability Management Report category, Lotte Shopping received perfect scores in 6 out of 8 evaluation criteria, including ▲Creativity ▲Information Accessibility ▲Shareholder Letter ▲Narrative ▲Financial Information ▲Cover Design, earning the Gold Award. Notably, it was the only domestic distribution company selected among this year's awardees.
In July, Lotte Shopping publicly released its Sustainability Management Report for the first time, actively engaging in communication with stakeholders such as customers and shareholders. The report includes Lotte Shopping's achievements, future plans, and newly developed policies under the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management slogan "Renew the Earth, Together for a Better Planet."
In the report, Lotte Shopping set five major tasks through the integrated ESG campaign brand "RE:EARTH" and detailed the current status and expansion plans of various ESG activities tailored to the characteristics of a distribution company, such as developing eco-friendly products and dedicated spaces, adopting eco-friendly energy, and fostering win-win relationships with partner companies.
