Shinsegae Food Donates Sponsorship Items to Childcare Facilities for Chuseok
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] Shinsegae Food announced on the 4th that it carried out sharing activities by delivering holiday convenience foods and galbi worth 120 million KRW to child care facilities and single-parent families in celebration of Chuseok.
Shinsegae Food prepared this activity to provide practical help to vulnerable groups who feel burdened by the rising prices in preparing holiday meals. The day before, Shinsegae Food delivered 200 sets of Olban marinated pork ribs and mask strap sets, which employees made through remote volunteering, to the Salvation Army Seoul Welfare Center in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul, and single-parent families. In cooperation with the Milal Welfare Foundation Goodwill Store, they also delivered Olban holiday convenience foods popular for holiday meals, such as dumplings and marinated meat.
A Shinsegae Food official said, "We hope that sharing holiday food will help vulnerable children spend a warm Chuseok holiday, even if just a little," and added, "We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility through various sharing activities."
