GS Retail Launches Second Half Open Recruitment... "MZ Hiring MZ"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] GS Retail announced on the 4th that it will begin its second half open recruitment from the 5th to the 19th.
The main recruitment fields are sales management and store sales positions in the convenience store division GS25 and the supermarket division GS The Fresh, with a total number of hires in the double digits. Applicants must have graduated (or be expected to graduate) from a four-year university or possess an equivalent academic background. Those expected to graduate in February 2023 are also eligible to apply.
Applications will be accepted through GS Retail's recruitment website until the 19th. Applicants who pass the document screening will go through an AI competency test, a first-round interview with the working-level staff, and a second-round interview with executives before being selected as final successful candidates.
GS Retail has promoted innovation in the recruitment process to discover MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) talent in this second half open recruitment. Notable initiatives include the introduction of MZ generation interviewers and metaverse briefing sessions.
The MZ generation interviewers were selected from employees with 4 to 7 years of experience. This newly established system aims for MZ interviewers to directly discover colleagues they want to work and grow with. It is the first time in GS Retail's history that MZ generation employees, rather than only team leaders or higher, have participated as recruitment interviewers. The MZ generation interviewers will participate in the first-round working-level interviews and play a key role in discovering MZ generation talent.
An interactive communication space will also be provided in the virtual world. GS Retail will hold a live recruitment briefing session on the metaverse platform 'Gather Town.' Recruitment officers and senior employees will actively participate in this live session, which will be conducted anonymously and will share information such as Q&A, resume writing consulting, and tips for success. The live recruitment briefing will be held over two days from the 15th to the 16th of this month.
