The minister stated to the relevant departments on the day, "It is very concerning that a strong typhoon is approaching the Korean Peninsula again while the flood recovery from the recent heavy rain concentrated in the metropolitan area has not been fully completed."
He urged, "Please check the drainage conditions mainly in the previously flooded areas and especially ensure thorough safety management of traditional market facilities, which are vulnerable to wind."
The Ministry of SMEs and Startups is dispatching staff to traditional market sites mainly through local offices to conduct emergency situation inspections.
