Kakao T Venti Surpasses 1,000 Units... 84% Increase in Users in July
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Choi] Kakao Mobility announced on the 2nd that the number of 'Kakao T Venti' vehicles in operation has surpassed 1,000.
Kakao T Venti is a service based on ‘large passenger van and premium taxi licenses.’ It operates 9- to 11-seat passenger vans and offers free Wi-Fi and a Rear Seat Entertainment system (RSE).
Currently, when including drivers who have completed vehicle contracts or operation applications and are waiting, it is expected that more than 2,000 vehicles will be in operation. There is a continuous influx of new drivers, including young people in their 30s and 40s, workers from other industries, and those planning to retire.
User metrics are also growing. As of July this year, the average daily number of users (based on completed rides) increased by 84.7% compared to the same period last year. During the same period, the average daily number of users of the reservation call service showed a growth rate of 495.5%.
