Korea Employers Federation Publishes "Wage & HR Research" on "Innovation in Work Styles in the Post-Corona Era"
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] The Korea Employers Federation announced on the 1st that it has published the regular publication "Wage & HR Research 2022 Second Half Issue" under the theme "Innovation in Work Styles in the Post-Corona Era."
"Wage & HR Research" selects recent issues related to personnel, organization, and wage systems of domestic and international companies as special topics, delivering insights from academia, field experts, and corporate practitioners, as well as leading company cases. It is a biannual regular publication aimed at supporting rational personnel management in companies.
The special topic of the second half issue is "Innovation in Work Styles in the Post-Corona Era." It examines changes in work styles caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the rise of the MZ (Millennial + Generation Z) generation, and digital transformation, along with overall personnel management response strategies. By introducing cases from domestic companies, it aims to provide practical implications.
Additionally, the research forum includes articles by five contributors, including Professor Youngkyun Jang of Sogang University, on topics closely related to changes in work styles: performance management, organizational structure, leadership, employee experience, and collaboration tools. Alongside this, the case studies introduce Coupang’s differentiated work style linked to leadership principles and Hanwha Hotels & Resorts’ experience in adopting smart work despite limitations in the tourism and leisure industry.
Meanwhile, the "Issue Forum," which features expert contributions on the latest wage and HR issues, includes an article by Hyunjin Choi, a partner at Confferi, analyzing the U.S. job-based pay system and the possibility of introducing job-based pay in Korea.
