Held for the first time in three years since 2019 due to the impact of COVID-19, this competition will take place over seven days from August 31 to September 6. It is the largest domestic event with about 3,000 athletes from 390 teams nationwide, including disabled athletes, in both student and general divisions.
Hosted by Hanwha Group and organized by the Korea Shooting Federation, the Hanwha Chairman's Cup National Shooting Competition simultaneously holds all shooting disciplines across all categories (general, student, disabled athletes). Along with the Bonghwanggi and the National Police Agency Chief's Cup, it is considered one of the five major domestic tournaments.
In particular, it will also serve as the selection event for the 2023 national team and reserve team, postponed to next year, as well as the representative selection for the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. Olympic medalists such as Kim Jang-mi and Kim Min-jung will participate, promising more intense competition than ever before.
Based on Hanwha Group's philosophy of 'Together, Far,' the Hanwha Chairman's Cup, established in 2008 to promote and expand the shooting sport, is the first and only shooting competition hosted by a corporation in Korea.
