Heerim Wins Design and CM Contract for Malaysia's 'Smart Leisure City Development'

[Asia Economy Reporter Noh Kyung-jo] Heerim Architects & Planners announced on the 31st that it has been selected as the design and construction management (CM) company for the Smart Leisure City development project in Sipitang City, Sabah State, Malaysia.
This project involves developing an 18-hole golf course, a 5-star hotel, villas, serviced apartments, condominiums, shopping centers, outlets, a water park, and a stem cell clinic on a 1.04 million square meter site located on the coast of Sipitang City. Malaysia's KORRICH is in charge of implementation, and Heerim will conduct the concept design as the first phase of the project.
The total project cost is approximately 450 billion KRW. Infrastructure construction will begin in March next year, with completion scheduled for August 2026. Heerim will actively cooperate to ensure the project's successful progress and plans to sign the main contract in the future.
Heerim has been operating in the Southeast Asian market for over 20 years, carrying out various projects locally. Currently, it is handling design and CM tasks for large-scale projects such as Long Thanh International Airport in Vietnam, Dai Ho Thai New Town Development Project, Phnom Penh International Airport in Cambodia, Cordova Smart City Development Project in the Philippines, and SK Nexilis Copper Foil Plant in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.

A Heerim official stated, "Based on this contract, we will actively target not only the Malaysian construction market but also the Indonesian market, which is preparing for mega projects such as the construction of the new capital."
