Won-Dollar Exchange Rate Hits New High Again... Surpasses 1352 Won (Update)
The won-dollar exchange rate rose to the 1,352 won level on the 31st, once again hitting a new yearly high.
According to the Seoul foreign exchange market on that day, the won-dollar exchange rate started at 1,350 won, up 3.3 won from the previous day, and surged to 1,352.2 won in the early trading session.
This is the highest level since April 29, 2009 (the high was 1,357.5 won).
As of 9:12 a.m., the won-dollar exchange rate was hovering around 1,351 won.
The exchange rate set a yearly high of 1,350.8 won on the 29th and has raised the ceiling again within just two trading days.
On the 30th (local time), the dollar index traded slightly down at 108.73, but the won-dollar exchange rate remains unstable.
