SK Rent-a-Car Sustainability Report Wins Gold at 'LACP 2021 Vision Awards'
Recognized for Achievements Despite Being the First Publication of the Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] SK Rent-a-Car announced on the 31st that its first-ever published Sustainability Management Report won the Gold Award at the ‘LACP 2021 Vision Awards’ hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals (LACP).
LACP is a global communications professional organization established by communication experts in the United States, which annually evaluates sustainability management reports published by government agencies, companies, and organizations worldwide.
Launched in 2001, the ‘LACP Vision Awards’ is a global competition in which companies and governments that publish sustainability management reports participate, serving as a channel for transparent communication with stakeholders regarding ESG management performance and goals. This year’s competition saw participation from over 1,000 companies and governments across 21 countries, marking the highest level of competition in 10 years.
SK Rent-a-Car’s ‘2021 Sustainability Management Report’ received perfect scores in 6 out of 8 evaluation categories in the transportation and logistics sector, including ▲message delivery ▲clarity ▲narrative ▲financial reporting ▲information accessibility ▲cover design, earning a total score of 98 out of 100 and winning the Gold Award despite being its first publication. Additionally, the report was listed among the Asia/Pacific region’s Top 80 as well as the ‘Korea TOP 20 Reports’ domestically.
In May, SK Rent-a-Car published its Sustainability Management Report reflecting the company’s strong commitment to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management, strengthening transparent communication with various stakeholders. The report details last year’s key activities and specific achievements, disclosures aligned with international standards, and SK Rent-a-Car’s five newly established ESG strategic directions for this year: ▲digital transformation and service platformization ▲promotion of human rights management ▲enhancement of customer satisfaction ▲response to climate change ▲establishment of sound governance.
