DL Construction announced on the 30th that it recently secured the construction rights for the 'Chungbuk Cheongju Namjudong 9 District Street Housing Redevelopment Project' and the 'Seoul Myeonmok Station 2 District Street Housing Redevelopment Project.'
With this, DL Construction has recorded a new cumulative order amount of 1.1336 trillion won in the urban redevelopment sector. DL Construction first joined the 1 Trillion Won Club for urban redevelopment projects in November 2020 since its establishment.
The Cheongju Namjudong 9 District Street Housing Redevelopment Project, for which construction rights were secured on the 25th, is planned to be carried out in the Namjudong area of Sangdang-gu, Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. Through this project, DL Construction will build a complex with 5 basement floors to 38 above-ground floors, including 414 apartment units and 57 officetel units. The Myeonmok Station 2 District Street Housing Redevelopment Project will be conducted in the Myeonmok-dong area of Jungnang-gu, featuring 2 basement floors to 15 above-ground floors and 259 apartment units.
Previously, DL Construction secured orders for projects such as △Cheongju Namjudong 1 District (550 units, 2020) and △Cheongju Namjudong 2 District (558 units, 2021).
With this construction rights acquisition, DL Construction has laid the foundation for creating the nearby 'Moa Town.' Moa Town is a redevelopment project that bundles old low-rise residential areas within 100,000㎡ where large-scale redevelopment is difficult, supplying apartments and convenience facilities. The Seoul Metropolitan Government has set a plan to supply more than 30,000 housing units through Moa Town by 2026. Myeonmok-dong, along with Beondong, was selected as a pilot site for the Moa Town project by Seoul City.
