Daesang Launches 'Child Dream' Program for Low-Income Families
Production of 'Kkumdeulim Pack' for Children at Local Childcare Centers... Support with Ready Meals, Side Dishes, and Snacks

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Daesang announced on the 29th that it will carry out the ‘Child Dream’ project for low-income families in collaboration with the Korea National Council on Social Welfare and LG Household & Health Care.
The Child Dream project is an initiative that supports essential daily items such as meal replacements and stationery to children from low-income families who use local children’s centers, aiming to provide healthy dietary conditions for children and alleviate economic burdens.
At the launch ceremony of the Child Dream project held on the 26th at the Food Bank Market Center in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, attendees included Kwangjoo Na, Head of ESG Management at Daesang, Hongjoong Kim, Secretary General of the Korea National Council on Social Welfare, and Yujin Sung, ESG Team Leader at LG Household & Health Care. After the ceremony, the attendees moved to Yeram Local Children’s Center in Yangcheon-gu and personally delivered ‘Dream Packs’ to 35 children.
The Dream Packs included various Daesang products such as Cheongjeongwon Homings Clear Chicken Soup and other soup products, side dishes like Cheongjeongwon Stir-fried Anchovies with Nuts, Stir-fried Squid Strips, and Jongga Black Soybean Jorim. Additionally, the packs contained stationery items such as pencils and notebooks, as well as daily necessities like toothpaste and toothbrushes. By the end of this year, a total of 5,000 Dream Packs will be delivered to 1,000 low-income children in difficult circumstances nationwide through food banks.

Daesang plans to continue discovering and implementing various activities to help create a healthy growth environment for children. Kwangjoo Na, Head of ESG Management at Daesang, stated, “The healthy growth of our children, who are the future generation, is closely linked to the sustainable growth of our society,” and added, “Daesang will continue to participate in various support activities for children from low-income families and practice ESG management.”
