Starfield Hosts 'Art Talk 2022' at Byeolmadang Library... "Inviting Art World Luminaries"

[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Starfield COEX Mall Byeolmadang Library announced on the 28th that it will hold 'Art Talk 2022' from the 1st to the 2nd of next month in collaboration with the contemporary art planning agency Sum Project and the Arts Management Support Center.
At this event, global art world figures who are rarely encountered in Korea will be introduced to Byeolmadang Library customers. Lee Ji-yoon, former director of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Seoul, will serve as the moderator of the lectures and invite 15 world-renowned art figures who exert great influence in the global art market to Byeolmadang Library to discuss rapidly changing art world issues and engage in in-depth discourse.
The speakers participating in this Art Talk include Scarlett Smatana, director of the George Economou Collection from Greece, famous for its permanent collection at Tate Modern; Stephanie Dieckvoss from Handelsblatt, Germany's leading economic newspaper; Johan Koenig Gallery, experimenting with non-fungible token (NFT) art auctions and metaverse galleries; Kelly Crow, an art specialist reporter from The Wall Street Journal; Tobias Berger, director of the Hong Kong Tycoon Art Museum; Nick Buckley Wood, sales director at Sotheby's; Lee Xin Chai, director of Hauser & Wirth Gallery Hong Kong; and James Lee, former exhibition director of the Gwangju Biennale and recently opened BBM Gallery.
Those wishing to attend Art Talk 2022 must make a reservation in advance through the Starfield application (app) by 10 PM on the 30th of this month. The event will also be broadcast via live streaming, and can be viewed later through an online platform.
