Jack Dorsey "Regret Making Twitter a Company"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] Twitter founder Jack Dorsey expressed regret over turning Twitter into a company.
On the 25th (local time), he stated on Twitter in response to users' questions that Twitter should have been a protocol.
Some users asked Dorsey, "What was your original intention for Twitter? Did it turn out as you wanted?" and "Twitter feels somewhat left-leaning, and it seems that right-wing Twitter users are being banned or expelled." In response, Dorsey said, "The biggest problem and my greatest regret is that Twitter became a company."
When asked, "What did you want Twitter to look like?" he replied, "A protocol," adding, "It should not be owned by the government or a company. This becomes clearer every day." A protocol refers to the communication rules used when exchanging data. This implies that Twitter should have been a service where users directly exchange messages.
