Incheon Airport Corporation Hosts Media and NFT Art Exhibition 'Moving to a New Era'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 26th that it will present 'Port to the New Era' themed on 'Media·NFT Art' at the departure halls and boarding areas of Incheon Airport Terminal 1 and 2 until October 31.
This exhibition is the first collaboration jointly sponsored by the Corporation and the Arts Management Support Center. A total of 11 next-generation contemporary and media artists representing Korea, including Choi Chansook, Yang Minha, and Seo Hyojung, will participate and showcase a total of 22 works.
The exhibition will be held simultaneously as a digital exhibition through large media screens inside Incheon Airport and as an offline media·NFT exhibition in the exhibition space near Gate 253 in the duty-free area of Terminal 2. It is expected that passengers will be able to experience the new art field of media·NFT art throughout the airport.
In addition to viewing the exhibition, passengers can purchase and own most of the participating works as NFTs. Detailed information about the exhibition can be found on the official SNS page.
Moon Youngho, CEO of the Arts Management Support Center, said, “We are pleased to introduce excellent Korean media artists and their works at Incheon Airport, the gateway to the world,” adding, “We hope this collaboration will further expand the public’s opportunities to enjoy art, and the Arts Management Support Center will continue to actively support discovering and promoting promising Korean media artists worldwide.”
Kim Kyungwook, President of Incheon International Airport Corporation, said, “Amid growing interest in the art market and media·NFT art, it is meaningful to present a new form of curated exhibition at Incheon Airport,” and added, “Incheon Airport will continue to establish itself as a global cultural and arts airport through new and diverse attempts.”
