Ceramic Hand-Painting Program Conducted for Elderly Living Alone
The Community Security Council of Seonsan-eup, Gumi City, held its regular meeting in August and conducted the Senior Health Keeper Support Project.

At the meeting, the selection of recipients for the specialized project in September, the "Holiday Food Support Project," and detailed plans for the "Gumi Happiness Sharing Store Signboard Ceremony" and "Capacity Building Workshop" scheduled for October were discussed in depth. The meeting proceeded with the "Senior Health Keeper" project, a ceramic hand-painting program for the elderly in the community.
The "Senior Health Keeper Project," an implementation task of the Seonsan-eup village welfare plan, was prepared with support from the Gyeongbuk Community Chest of Korea to help prevent depression and dementia among the elderly by enhancing sensitivity and promoting vitality in daily life.
Lee Heung-se, the private chairman, said, "I hope today's ceramic hand-painting program has helped the health of the elderly even a little," and added, "We will continue to make greater efforts so that the council can play a leading role."
